"Stalkers" at Carton

On Tuesday we went to Carton House for the Vanishing Art Exhibition.  On the way in we saw loads of sculptures all over the place like a tap and horses.  We were supposed to fill out a sheet about the things we saw.  Me and Jane found a more fun thing to do thoughh;)
On our way around Carton, we were told that there were some guests there, THE IRISH RUGBY TEAM<3333 We asked a man where they were and he told us.  So me and Jane went to this building and saw them in a Conference Room.  Being as cool as we are, we went into the bathroom for about 20 minutes and waited for them.  Before long, Sadbh and Anna G joined us and we waited.. and waited.. and waited..
We decided to give up and just as we were about to leave, a man came out.  He was no other than Sexy Sexton! Trying to keep it cool, Sadbh and Anna walked past but me and Jane might've screamed a bit..  We left this building then and Johnny came out so we asked for a picture.  It is the proudest moment of TY, that's for sure!  Soon after that, Tommy Bowe came out so we were v chuffed!
The security guards then came after us and made sure we left.  I am pretty sure we got sent away from the exhibition, oh no! And to add to this, the following day on the radio there was a message about the team training in Carton with hopefully "no stalkers"...

Halloween

Today is the last day of the first term.  Halloween is coming up so today is our dress up day.  TYs had to dress up as zombies so right now I am wearing all black.  Shoutout to Jane for doing my make up, tnx a mil x x x

A few people are dressed up as Miranda Sings today, they look v fab might I sayy! There are a good few clowns, cats and witches around the place which is getting us all in the mood for Halloween.
In music class this morning we had to sing and we were told we sound dead which I guess is a good thing considering we're zombies;)  in the second part of the double we then listened to High School Musical tuness which I can't get out of my head.
Enjoy mid term everyonee!

Banoffi Pieeeee

This week in home-ec, me and Mollayyy Mooney, made banoffi pie.  I had been kinda nervous for this because neither of us knew how to make it but thank god the recipe was easy!

Ms Hughes had made the caramel for us out of the condensed milk we brought in.  Luckily we both like caramel because there was lots of it!  We had to crush the digestives which was really sad because they smelled sosososo good.  We mixed it with butter and lined the tin with mixture.  We then whipped the cream and put loads of it on top.  Slicing the bananas was a bit of a pain cos they were kinda mushy but we managed.

When the pie was done, instead of cleaning up me and Molly ate it #fattieeees.  It tasted really nice  even though it didn't look as good as it does in the picture^.  Next time we are making muffins for Halloween and hopefully they will be as nice!
Shoutout to Molly Mooneyyy   xx

Fun Walk

The Fun Walk took place this week.  It was supposed to be today but because of the bad weather that was forecasted, it was moved to yesterday.  Luckily it was moved because today it's lashing!

Due to the Fun Walk the past few weeks were very interesting.  Coming up with a dance with our tutor, Mr. Kennedy, and practicing it really helped us to get to know one another.  We decided to dance to Lana del Ray's song "Once Upon a Dream" and Wham!'s "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go".  We based our theme around the evilness of the bully, Maleficent, as we are Class Aurora.  We made our dance really energetic and it involved a lot of jumping around and made us all really tired.  I actually think we could all do the dance in our sleep by the time Thursday came because we did it so many times.  Dressing Mr. Kennedy up was really good too but he wouldn't shave his beard:(((

When the day came around we decided that all the bad people (I was one) would wear black bin bags, anonymous masks and would pop party poppers at the crowd.  We were all nervous that the dance would not go to plan.  After doing the dance we were all convinced we could have done better but to our surprise, we won!  Today we were given a tub of Roses, no complaints there;)

My Digital Footprint

One of our blog challenges is to post about our digital footprint.  When I read this I had no idea what it meant, like our footprints aren't digital?!  But now I know it's actually nothing to do with our feet; it's to do with the tracks we leave behind about ourselves in digital form.

My digital footprint began before I was even born after my sonogram after 5 months when it was e-mailed to family and friends or printed for the doctors to use.  This was then followed by pictures or text messages sent when I was born.  My digital footprint has been updated throughout my life.  As a child when I filled out the questions, eg. name, to make my own penguin on Club Penguin it was added to my digital footprint.  Today I am still updating my digital footprint..

  • Facebook -  I create a profile, share photos, make posts etc.
  • Instagram -  I post photos of me for others to see.
  • Twitter -  I tweet my thoughts.
  • Snapchat - I send pictures of myself to others.
  • Kik - I chat to my friends in groups.
  • Google - I research information for school.
  • Amazon - I buy things for my own use.
Even in the future my digital footprint will constantly be added to and this will go on until I die and even afterwards.
